Volm Pump Hosts 10th Plenary Session of Vacuum Metallurgy & Engineering Committees and Prepares for 17th International Conference on Vacuum Science & Engineering Applications

On May 10, 2025, the 10th Plenary Session of the Vacuum Metallurgy and Vacuum Engineering Committees, alongside the Preparatory Meeting for the 17th International Conference on Vacuum Science and Engineering Applications, was convened in Yantai. Under the theme "Innovation Leadership, Collaborative Progress: Empowering National Strategy with High-End Vacuum Technology," the conference aimed to pool industry expertise to explore cutting-edge technologies in vacuum science and engineering applications, achieve breakthroughs in deep integration of industry-university-research for major projects, and advance standardization efforts.

Zhang Yongming, Vice Chairperson of the Chinese Vacuum Society (CVS), Liu Liping, Deputy District Head of Fushan District, Yantai City, Professor Ba Dechun of Northeastern University, and Lin Xiangkun, Chairman of Volm Pump, delivered opening remarks.

Wang Xiaodong, Director of the Vacuum Metallurgy Committee, and Zhao Chongling, Director of the Vacuum Engineering Committee, presented reports on their respective committees' work and future plans. Zhang Chong, Party Secretary and Director of the Fushan District Investment Promotion Center, delivered an investment promotion presentation.

The conference successfully reviewed the past work of the committees, charted future development directions, and consolidated collective wisdom for the preparation of the upcoming 17th International Conference on Vacuum Science and Engineering Applications. It is believed that through the concerted efforts of all stakeholders, the field of vacuum technology will achieve further breakthroughs in academic research and industrial application, providing strong support for national strategic development.

Following the meeting, attendees visited Yantai Volm Vacuum Technology Co., Ltd. Committee experts conducted an on-site inspection of Volm's fully CNC machining workshop, expressing their appreciation for the internationally advanced equipment capable of micrometer-level precision.
